Silky Smooth Secrets: Unveiling the Magic of Laser Hair Removal including the parts of the body you didn’t know it could reach!
Do you spend hours and pounds shaving/plucking and waxing your unwanted body hair? Why not make 2024 the year that you finally say enough is enough and look for a more permanent solution?
Laser hair removal could be just the answer. From silky legs to hair free underarms this could be the key to a fuzz-free life. It’s a fantastically versatile method of reducing or removing unwanted hair from most areas of the body. Are you ready to explore the world of laser-perfected skin?
In this blog we’ll look at some of the myths around laser hair removal, how it works, what areas you can use it on and so much more.
Myth One – laser hair removal is dangerous and painful
Laser hair removal, when done by a qualified professional is perfectly safe. It works by emitting light which is then absorbed by melanin with the hair. This is then converted to energy which damages the hair follicle causing it to stop growing.
The feeling has been described as being a bit like someone flicking you with an elastic band. However, here at Bare UK, we use the amazing Motus AY machine. It’s a brand-new pain free treatment which means you feel little to no sensation at all, even when treating an area with dark, dense hair.
Myth Two – not everyone is suitable for treatment
Most people can have treatment, however, if you have grey or white hair this contains no melanin and is therefore it is not recommended that you have treatment.
Myth Three – I’ll only need one or two sessions
Everyone is different so the number of sessions you will need will vary from client to client. We recommend having a course of at least 6 sessions per area. The majority of our clients start to see results in as little as 4 sessions.
Myth Four – it’s only for certain areas of the body
This is perhaps the most common misconception. Laser hair removal can actually be done on lots of different areas of the body. These include earlobes, nipples, fingers, toes, the nose, the famous monobrow and the back of the neck.
These areas can be targeted using a smaller spot size. The machine we use is the Motus AY which is the world’s most advanced laser hair removal system. It’s the first and only laser hair removal technology to deliver two gold-standard lasers – Alexandrite and Nd:YAG.
Myth Five – it’s a permanent solution for everyone
The answer to this one is similar to the number of sessions you’ll need. The results will vary from person to person. For some, you will have long term reduction, for others you may see some regrowth although possibly not as much or it could be that it grows back finer than before. It will all depend on the thickness of the hair, skin and hair colour. There are no guarantees.
So, armed with the truth, are you ready to embark on your laser hair removal journey?
