Helping raise funds for ROSY.
We haven’t done a BLOG for a while – so today on this sunny Friday in June we thought we write something to raise more awareness for ROSY… please read on:
Last Sunday Bare’s owner Julie – took part in her first triathlon with in the beautiful surroundings of Blenheim Palace.
After months of training which involved swimming in a freezing lake, purchasing her first bike since teens and running that extra mile – she managed to complete the course of a 750 lake swim, 20k bike ride and 5k run in just under 2 hours.
As well as elevating her fitness to the best level yet in her 40’s Julie’s aim was to raise money for the Charity ROSY.
ROSY is a charity very close to Julie’s heart as her little 3 year old neighbour Sienna has a very rare genetic condition that basically means she needs round the clock care from either her parents or trained ROSY carers.

ROSY (Respite for Oxfordshire’s Sick Youngsters) is instrumental in Sienna’s life and they offer a team of nurses equipped to look after her in her home allowing her mum Kay to get on with other things that busy mum’s of 3 do!
The charity funds 10 nurses for 72 local families and funds are extremely limited.
So Julie was extremely happy to help. Nearly one week later donations have still been coming in but in total she has raised just over £2,000 to date.
