At the start of 2015 we moved into our new room
It’s bigger, brighter and has an enviable view over Christ Church and it’s private gardens. We added a little twist to the décor, going on the Oxford theme with a fabulous book wallpaper. I love the ooooh’s and the aaahhh’s I get from clients when they walk into the room for the first time and take in the view…. It’s a shame I have to close the curtains when the time comes for the treatment!
The new room would feel a bit empty without new equipment. So Bare made the bold leap and invested (quite heavily… gulp) in a new laser machine. New technology has enabled us to scrap the sticky gel we used to have to apply as the laser head has an inbuilt chiller – cooling the skin upon application reducing the pain factor! The head size is also bigger – so half legs now take about 20 minutes…. Quick!!! And the results are brilliant.
That’s not all…. Oh no… the piece de resistance comes in the form of the nd:YAG laser… this has a small spot size but it packs a punch. It’s perfect for smaller areas especially the face – as we can be so much more precise with it. When I am treating i can literally see the hairs vaporise. I also use it where the laser left of – finishing off areas in detail…where there is only a small amount of hair left from the effects of laser hair removal. It’s also a popular choice for Asian skin types.
The laser is also a little magic wand when it comes to removing spider veins – in most cases instantly… like I said – magic!

At the end of 2014 we were so very happy to come in the final three for Oxfordshire’s Nat West Venus business awards – a great achievement for us. However earlier this year we were nominated for yet another award (check us out!) – and oh my days we won – ‘Living Oxford’s’ favourite health and beauty business no less!!! We attended a fabulous ceremony in April in Oxford’s wonderfully revamped Bodleian or as it’s now know ‘Weston’ library. It was a great night and an amazing feeling to walk away with an award, knowing that it was a public vote – helped along by all our happy clients.
The later part of the year has been really busy for us, last month was our busiest month to date and we continue to have a growing flow of really happy clients more than satisfied with the treatment they are having with the new machine.
I am thankful to be in the position that I am in. A great business, an award to prove it and some really great clients to whom my treatments have made such a difference in their lives for the better.
So I end on a great note – looking forward to a couple of weeks off with my family and returning in 2016 with some new plans to improve further.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and the happiest New Year!
Julie 🙂
